2nd day of Blossom, 801 Notes on Magic.... I fine Ravens use of wood shape intriguing and disturbing. The spell allows her to shape wood as if it were clay. She was able to shape a very nice vessel in just 2 days of work. With this type of ability I see a ship similar to the Moonwind being constructed by a team of magic users overseen by the navigators guild in a matter of weeks. I saw her cut beams just by running her hand through it and to stretch and shape handholds in seconds that would of taken a craftsman days. But what does this mean for the woodworker? Could it be that this type of magic is what has the Church up in arms about. Perhaps they are trying to save their people and their way of life, perventing Alusians from overruning Ardania. But how do they suppress magic? Is there a finite amount generated naturally and do they have something that uses it up. How long has the magic been gone? Could the Vail be what the magic is diverted for? Why are there not more magic craftsmen in Alusia? Perhaps we will see more of them here. These structures we have encountered could have easily been constructed using this type of magic shaping.
