18th of Snow We assemble in the morning and Stephen and Blackhawk share their tale of the tunnels beneath the Stronghold. After a full report Moyra arrived at our door. She takes us down to a old Fire Wizard temple deep in the cliff constructed of the similar stone as Blackhawk and Stephen noted beyond the now sealed crack. This temple was down a very long passageway with no doors or side avenues, eventually coming to a triangular arch containing a tall door. The temple was bare, Moyra says the Rangers destroyed all of the known temples. We each go our separate ways and agree to meet for dinner We gather for dinner at the Elf Song. The Storm outside is brewing. I relate the warning I received on the stronghold roof from the Eagle Lord. Suddenly, Sir Janos enters carrying jug. We tell him of the news of the severe nature of the storm. He is less than pleased. He partakes of nothing but what resides in the jug. Across the room, a mysterious young woman sits. By human standards she is very beautiful with black-hair under a black cloak. Her hands graced by black lace gloves, delicately holding a wine glass, taking small occasional sips. She appears to be listening to the surrounding conversations with a small smile on her lips. Leaving me with Jaden and Sir Janos, Stephen and Blackhawk approach her, but are unable to draw her into a meaningful conversation. She reveals that she is a traveler but tells neither where she has been nor where she is going. Blackhawk offers her his services as she gets up to leave. She kisses each on the cheek and leaves. Blackhawk goes to the door but there is no trace of her. The snow is nearly blinding , but he feels he still should be able to see some sight of her. Bewindered, Blackhawk returns to the table, Sir Janos pushes his jug over to him. Blackhawk holds back the gasp as the sweet yet powerful liquid hits his throat. Roderick enters and whispers in Janos' ear. "It can wait" Janos replies. But again Roderick whispers to him only to be rebuffed again so he departs. As we sit around the table postulating of our earlier guest, the bells ring out 12 as the Day of Chaos begins. Suddenly, violent rumbling and shaking. Janos takes off at a run. We toss Ailyth some coins and follow. We do not see much in the storm outside, but screams are heard in the direction of the Cathedral. Through the snow and the wind we gradually see that the church tower has collapsed. As we approached, Sir Janos emerges with Fr. Lowdry in his arms. Several acolytes trail along behind them. We suggest taking hi into the ELfsong to get the cleric out of the cold, but Janos prefers to take him to Stronghold gate offices that are more private. Janos says he has means of healing him, but would prefer if a spell could perhaps be used instead. Stephen heals Fr. Lowdry, but he appears to be in shock. Fr. Lowdry eventually rouses and asks where is the girl?. He talks of meeting a strange young woman at the doors of the church. He invited her in and out of the weather. She replied I dont think you want me to do that. He insisted that she come in. He remembers her foot coming in before it all went blank. Blackhawk investigated to fallen tower. The tower remains appear older than the rest of the church. It apparently collapsed in on itself. The bell is shattered, perhaps unnaturally, into many small pieces. Fr. Lowdry thinks the bell came from the Confederacy but knows of no special powers attributed to the bell. Welcome to the Day of Chaos! Dutifully recoded Élensûl Lotharien, the Winged Foxes.
