Fruit 28 - Jaden is gone. He did not return last night and left no word with the Foxes, the Guild or Lia. After an extensive search it looks like he last visited Naillo at the stables and then disappeared. No record of his leaving the city and no track is left.

When Jaden finally returns late on the 29th he announces he is calling an emergency meeting of the Company of the Winged Fox. He announces he has been in Turlough. He told us of a dream or vision he had.

He said in the vision he was in a village that looks slightly familiar. He is fighting an enormous ancient red dragon. He holds a sword outstretched before him as the dragon lunges at him. The sword strikes deep. The dragon falls and crushes him.

He then showed us a note that was left at breakfast for him.

Your mind tricked you to feel the pain of someone close to you leaving the game, of life.
So here it is another chance
Wide awake you face the day
The dream is over
Or has it just begun?

Realizing he was reliving the death of Calrlotta he tried to contact her. She did come to him. He asked her if the letters were from her and if she was connected to him in some way he did was not aware of, and if it has something to do with Lark. But with the deluge of questions all she did was walk over to him and put her hand on each side of his face and smiled and kissed him saying ìMaxî before she disappeared.

Hoping that Turlough would hold some answers he decided to teleport there and revisited the sight of Carlottas death and her tomb. After barely arriving and becoming very ill during the teleport he looks around but finds nothing useful. He then visited the Hobbits at New Turlough. The mayor pleaded with Jaden explaining that the 3 young red dragons on the old island are starting to fly, and he fears it will be only a short time, before they make the trip here and kill us all. Jaden then promised to return as soon as possible.

Before we could even start the discussion on how we can accomplish the task I was shocked when Jaden said ìif you do not want to come with me I guess I will have to deal with it on my own.î I sat there quietly thinking we have a long way to go before we can truly call ourselves the Company of the Winged Foxes as opposed to a collection of adventurers.

Stephen asks if a week delay would be possible for he has just a few days to finish his studies of Dwarven. We also discuss the possibility of Jadnen learning the spell reduction do we could all be teleported there with one spell.

The week passes and Jaden finds a Master to teach him reduce and Stephen finishes his training and finds out his book is a somewhat useless Dwarven to ancient Common dictionary. During the week we also hear of news from Ardainia. It appears the church has formed large groups that are traveling from town to town forcing the locals to prove their loyalty to the church and condemning the policies of the Crown. The Church still controls all the De Greysí land and even with the protests of the Crown nothing has changed. But the shocking news is that the Marquessa of Bowcout has paid a visit to the Duke of Carzala and the rumor has it there may be a wedding in the offering. Each of them have a claim to the thrown of the Western Kingdom and if they had a child it would most certainly be thought of as the rightful Ard Righ.

Note: Regarding Resurrection magic

Since this topic was already scribed in our official logs I will describe some of the current events here. I hope for Faraís sake that this journal does not fall into hands that could cause her disgrace or harm. When we arrived here in Bliss we gave the Adventurers Guild full access to most of this log. I hope we keep in mind the damage that this log could create if its information were to fall into common knowledge.

To continue, we were requested to visit with Scholar Mech'en in his shop. He told us that he had gone through all of Hieronymousís notes and it looked very premising and hopes this resolved by Beltane. The one problem is for him to complete the research and restore the ability to reincarnate the dead he would need one item that still possesses the spell. He said that there were assistances searching for such an item (the Book of Urial comes to my mind). His hopes to have word in 6 weeks on were one of these items may be found and its return will be our second task for Fara. He will send us word when he has additional information.

It is now Harvest 5th and we are now prepared to return to the Hobbit village. We decide to travel to the Crystal chapel and then have Jaden cast diminish on us that will cause us to become ˝ our size and 10% of our weight. The teleportation goes well and Jaden has no ill effects.

We are greeted warmly by Mayor Welby and he arranges passage for us to Old Turlough well before Dawn the next morning. We planned to arrive on Old Turlough just before dawn. We prepare our spells and our group of overly confident group heads out to battle the dragons.

We arrive at the same cove we landed on during our last visit and prepare for the day. Stephen greets the Dawn and we cast some of our protective spells. We thank our escorts and send them back with the boats. I for one will all to soon realize how unprepared I am for this battle. We head up the trail. When we come to the junction that heads toward Carlottaís tomb I hear a rustling. I equip with my mÍlÈe weapons and warn the others that we are not alone.

Within a breath a wall of flame erupts from the bush engulfing Raven and Jaden. When the flames subside the two of them are the only things left standing on the scorched earth. They are covered in ash and look like they have taken a lot of damage. Even DeVal with his remarkable agility did not even escape the dragonís wrath. As Stephen sings a song of encouragement Jaden with a wave of his hand casts an Ice Storm toward the young Red Dragon. The Dragon roars with surprise as Élensűl and I move into position to enter melee. As I approach, its head swings down and bites hard on my shoulder lifting me momentarily off my feet only a deep thrust of my rapier causes it to release me. Raven then in a selfless act cast protection form elements on Jaden leaving her helpless against a second attack.

A second wave of fire burst forth and Raven and DeVal fall to the ground. Jaden protected by Ravens spell is sheltered against the attack, while I am able to duck under the dragonís chest to avoid the brunt of the flames. Stephen immediately heals Raven who when revived, tries to restore what life still remains in the burnt form that used to be DeVal. Jaden takes a round to heal himself while Élensűl and I attack the creature.

The Dragon returns the attack with a whip of its tail that luckily avoids hitting any of us. Stephen cast Haste and moves into range for an attack. Jaden complaining that we are in his way, decides to cast his chain lightning. Élensűl sends two deep thrusts in it with his spear. Raven then casts Greater Magic Fang on Élensűl in hopes we survive another round for him to use it. I attack with both my rapier and mace causing the Dragon to start bleeding profusely. Taking us by surprise, it then makes a leap into the air and takes off at an incredible speed. In an effort to get one last attack in, Élensűl uses Abundant Step and takes Stephen and me with him 880 feet in the dragonís direction of travel. As we reappear we see two additional forms moving rapidly toward us. We re-equip to our ranged weapons and wait until it comes in to range. Stephen sends off his wand but as he fires the Dragon starts to fall on its own. We now need to get back to Jaden so we can get out of here before the other two arrive; which seems unlikely considering their speed and our distance from Jaden. If we do manage to escape, I think we need to rethink our plan of action.
